A Spider-Boy's Special Day
In Aiden's bright room, with spider webs on the walls, the sun peeked in. Tap-tap-tap went his little feet as he woke up happy.
"Today is Mother's Day!" he whispered.
Up, up, up the wall he went. Carefully, carefully, he crawled on the ceiling. Tap-tap-tap to his desk for paper and crayons.
"Oh no!" The red crayon slipped, but zoom! His quick spider hand caught it.
He drew big hearts and wrote: "I LOVE YOU MOMMY" with wobbly letters. Stick, stick, stick went the sparkly stickers.
Hanging upside down, he practiced: "Happy Mother's Day!" again and again.
Then to the kitchen he went. Carefully, carefully, he poured cereal and juice. No spills! His spider-balance helped him carry the breakfast.
Tap-tap-tap down the hall to Mommy's room. She was still sleeping.
"Happy Mother's Day!" Aiden said with his biggest smile.
Mommy opened her eyes and smiled back. "My special spider-boy!"
They hugged tight, tight, tight. "You're my favorite superhero, Mommy," Aiden said.
"And you're my favorite spider-boy," Mommy replied, kissing his nose.
And they had the most special Mother's Day breakfast ever.
